Als muzikant, jazzpianist en pianoleraar ben ik al ruim 40 jaar actief in de Haagsche Jazz scene. Naast het organiseren van vele optredens, het lesgeven, het organiseren van jazzsessies en uitbrengen van CD producties, ben ik nu BID bestuurslid, om de belangen te behartigen van de jazzmuzikanten uit de Haagsche Regio en lid Raad van Advies bij PDNK. Mijn jazz opleiders zijn Willem van Bommel (1984), Rob Agerbeek (1992) en Karel Boehlee (2015). Daarnaast heb ik ruim 30 jaar in de Healthcare gewerkt. Ik heb zowel in de Farma, Biotech, Medical Device als Medical Technology omgeving gewerkt. Eerst 10 jaar in de Sales, daarna 10 jaar in de Marketing len de laatste 15 jaar als Manager Corporate Affairs (Communicatie, Public Affairs, Stakeholdermanagement en Market Access) en heb diverse bestuurlijke functies bekleed in Verenigingen en Stichtingen. Om medische redenen ben ik met vervroegd pensioen, maar ik blijf me inzetten voor de Jazzmuzikanten in de Haagsche Regio.As a musician, jazz piano player and teacher, I’m for more than 40 years active in the Jazz scene in The Hague. In addition to many performances, teaching, organizing jazz sessions and releasing CD productions, I now represent the interests of jazz musicians from The Hague (NL) as a board member of BID. I worked also in Healthcare for over 30 years at the same time. I have worked in the Pharma, Biotech, Medical Device and Medical Technology environment. First 10 years in Sales, then 10 years in Marketing and the last 15 years as Manager Corporate Affairs (Communication, Public Affairs, Stakeholder Management and Market Access) having also various managerial positions in Associations and Foundations. Now on early retirement for medical reasons, but I remain committed to the Jazzmusicians in the Region of The Hague.
