• As senior search engine optimisation specialist I was responsible for the organic traffic growth for Kaartje2go and Send a Smile domains in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, as well as Babynamen.nl and other.
• Writing helpful content based on keyword research, so it would perform well in search engines (which it did, most of the time).
• Improving the technical performance of the website (basically making sure that every page that needed to appear in Google could and would actually appear in the search engine).
• Instructing developers on how and why to fix SEO-related issues and improve page speed.
• Brainstorming new features, and convincing colleagues and management to invest time and energy in these.
• Report to management about the performance of the organic search marketing channel.
