Driven by a passion for the arts and an unwavering commitment to fostering community engagement, I have carved a unique path through the cultural sector as a theatre maker with keen interests in community engagement and arts marketing. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, and now based in Galway City, Co. Galway, my journey began with a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies from UCC, leading to a transformative marketing internship at the Cork Opera House, Co. Cork. There, I contributed to the marketing efforts for productions like 'The Wizard of Oz' (2018) and 'The Kite Runner' (2018), gaining invaluable experience in both traditional and digital marketing, event organisation, and social media management, reaching an audience of over 63,000 followers. My career continued to flourish at the National Opera House, Co. Wexford, where I played a pivotal role in marketing the internationally acclaimed Wexford Festival Opera. My responsibilities ranged from enhancing the web and social media presence of the National Opera House to creating compelling content that aligns with our brand's voice and vision.Furthering my education, I completed an MA in Playwriting and Dramaturgy from NUIG in 2020, where I honed my craft as a playwright and deepened my understanding of theatrical structures and forms. My play ‘Fat Unicorn Cake’ earned the title of ‘Best Overall Production’ at the Jerome Hynes Play Festival in 2020, and my recent work, ‘The Untethering,’ was showcased at the Galway Theatre Festival as a work in progress. In my role as a dramaturg, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with theatre maker Tonya Harte on her piece ‘Forgotten Goddesses,’ supported by a residency with Theatre 57 in Galway City. Additionally, I've expanded my dramaturgy skills through a development programme with The Centre of Applied Dramaturgy (coAD), under the mentorship of the renowned dramaturg Lou Cope. Together, these experiences have equipped me with a holistic view of the arts sector, fuelling my mission to make art an integral and impactful part of our community's fabric.
