GULFSTREAM P20• Worked as the Technical Lead for the command board, which provided the logic to control the electro-hydraulic actuation of primary flight surfaces. • Designed the schematics, which included a TI DSP (TMS320VC33), Actel FPGA (A3PE1500), various Flash/SRAM memory interfaces for the DSP, MUX/ADC/DAC and signal conditioning circuitry. The design also included interfaces for A429 communication with the FCC and RS-485 for testing. • Tested and troubleshooted the prototype boards. Wrote test firmware for the FPGA to check the functionality of all the digital circuits. FALCON HTV2• Wrote the flight firmware in VHDL for a Spartan3E FPGA, which interfaced to a 8-output, 12-bit serial DAC, a pair of 16-input MUX’s, multiple 12-bit serial A2Ds, a TI DSP [TMS320F2812], and a Spartan CPLD (XC95288XL). In addition to controlling these gates, the FPGA also determined the sampling sequence and filtering for the analog feedback signals.EMBRAER-500 VLJ • Worked on the design, development and testing of the electronic actuation system of Embraer-500 Very Light Jet.• Tested and troubleshooted the engineering prototypes of power/control boards. Created board level test procedures and led a group of technicians to complete the functional testing of the production boards. • Wrote VHDL test code for two Spartan3 FPGAs on the control board to checkout the functionality of the digital hardware components such as a 4-inputs-MUX, serial 14-bits-A2D, 12-bits-DAC, various level shifters and other digital gates. • Wrote a program in C which calculates the checksum from the .mcs file (Intel HEX format) readback from a third party serial PROM used with a Xilinx Spartan3 FPGA.GULFSTREAM AFCS• Worked on the design of electronic control system for spoiler and elevator actuation of Gulfstream AFCS. • Ran Spice simulations to design the signal conditioning circuitry for analog signals and drew schematics.
