Remko was contracted by Royal Huisman for Project Management of the world’s largest luxury sport fishing yacht in the world. At 52m, Royal Huisman’s Project 406 is delivered in spring 2024.

Maritime Projects was contracted by DAMEN Yachting for Project Management of explorer yacht ‘’GAME CHANGER’’. During a 10 month refit and warranty period, in which all of the yachts areas have been touched. We managed all related works with subcontractors and had the honor of representing Damen as first point of contact for the owners team on board.

Maritime Projects was contracted by De Keizer Marine Engineering to improve the internal build process and align their SEC (system engineering concept) with the shipyards needs. During the process more and more project management support was requested resulting in the role of project manager for build number 1008. Maritime Projects was contracted by Royal de Vries Makkum (Part of Feadship) to support them with the growing demand for a more clear and structured plan of approach of their E-contractor. For Lengers Yachts we have executed numerous surveys abroad for newbuilds and existing GRP/GRE motor yachts of 28-39 meters. In this role we act as owners representatives. Maritime Projects was contracted by Royal IHC to support the shipbuilding cluster with streamlining of the electrical processes this department follows. Main task: Locate bottlenecks within the various departments /stakeholders and propose a recommendation for the reorganization within the shipbuilding division. This to ensure a project is built on specification, budget and in time. The major part of the assignment was physically executed in Kinderdijk.Works involved;- Inventory Cause and Context - Organise regular meetings and progress reports- Job interviews with various departments and stakeholders- Reporting to executive director- Advice in visual and text- Implementing and start up of recommendations.

Within this position I was responsible for the sales and marketing within the company. I'm widening the relation network for eL-Tec due to direct marketing by travelling and visiting ship owners, shipbrokers, exebitions and other companies related to the shipping industry. Our work: Build/design electrotechnical installations for the maritime business, coasters, yachts, inlandshipping, dredging, and also land based industry. We have a modern production facility in Hai Phong Vietnam.

Together with 2 business partners the datacenter Digital Residence was founded. Goal; become the specialist in; Co-location, Housing of ICT equipment, Footprints, VPN, Data center (floor space). As co-owner of Digital Residence I was responsible for the marketing and communication. Works involved;- Starting new businesses- marketing and communication- contract negotiations

Together with 2 fellow students the company Carrierekoffer was founded. Goal; Building a communication tool in order to help students in their choice during and after their studies. The "Carierekoffers" where filled with various traineeship, career opportunities, gadgets and was distributed to more than 25 colleges and universities, among 10.000 students, each year.Companies such as ABN AMRO, SNS- insurance, GIBO Accountancy, Sportlife and Nobiles participated. Works involved;- Starting new businesses- marketing and communication- contract negotiations- transport end logistics

Working freelance on several containerships as Chief Officer or Captain of inland container barges. Sailing the ships (up to 200 meters) from Rotterdam to their destination in Germany and Belgium.

For the family business I worked several years in various functions. Starting as a young sailor with ship maintenance duties during the holiday season on board of the 1000 ton vessel Da-Capo. In 1997 the 2300 ton Mon-Desir was purchased and in 1999 my seaman book was acquired. During 2004 the first container vessel REAN-L came in to service after an extensive refit of two months in which all main systems were overhauled. On this vessel I worked as sailor and first mateIn 2007 the keel was laid for the second REAN-L. This energy efficient vessel is co-created by myself as an naval architect and built in Beograde, Serbia. The outfitting took place in Hasselt, Netherlands. This was also my graduation project in which I studied how to Improve the outfitting efficiency of newbuilding projects. The maiden voyage was held in November 2008In 2009 I officially became licensed as captain of inland water vessels.

During my internship at shipyard Ablas in Hendrik Ido Ambacht the 10.600 m3 inland tanker barge "JADE" was outfitted. This unique bunker tanker was built in China, Nan-Tong, Yahua Shipyard.Works involved;- Assisting the project manager- Work preparation of cargo piping system- Work preparation of a new build section for a sea going vessel. - Installing complete (thruster) propulsion system- Small iron work

During my internship at shipyard Gelria in Nijmegen the 3000 ton inland tanker barge "Manus" was under construction. For this vessel I designed the detail drawings of the piping systems and visited the shipyard Centromost in Plock, Poland for project meetings and inspection. For the 110 meter barge "Vigilia" I was responsible for the engineering of the new 25 meter section to extend the vessel to 135 meters. Works involved;- Assisting the newbuilding manager- Autocad- Redesign the "Gelria" rudder system- Work preparation for several projects- Calculation of newbuilding projects- Small iron work in the field
