Writing has been a natural skill and passion for me for as long as I can remember. Whether it's concise little articles in a magazine, book reviews or long academic essays, I love it when I get to write them. My ability to recognize and practice good writing got me through university without ever failing an essay. Writing within the formal constraints of academia has its disadvantages. For the assignments where these were toned down, my work was praised for its clear and direct style. After my Bachelor's in Utrecht I took a year-long internship with Bazarow, an online book store striving to give local book stores a chance against the industry's behemoths like Amazon and bol.com. There I became part of a small team responsible for the weekly magazine published on the website. Beside the small day-to-day articles I got to interview people about their work or write a book review every week. Although we unfortunately had to work from home for the last half of my internship, I learned a lot of new skills there such as interviewing people, working in a team and writing quick and informal articles.
