Hi, I’m Ren! My desire is to help others feel steady in themselves, to feel present in their relationships, and have confidence in their ability to intentionally respond when their world is chaotic.I am passionate about helping people remove barriers and build skills to experience their best lives. Sometimes life throws a curve ball and leaves us feeling stuck on the sidelines and losing passion for the game. I love supporting people in those tough moments by offering skills unique to who they are and what they value, interrupting unhelpful thoughts, and building trust in themselves to move through experiences well. It’s possible to come back from a curve ball feeling re-energized, steady, present, and prepared for whatever happens next.I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked with children and families who have experienced trauma since 2011 specializing in early childhood trauma, attachment, and domestic violence. I own a private practice in Mission, Kansas where I can support people all across the stress and trauma spectrum. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support healing from a traumatic event, strengthening positive thinking, and decreasing stress responses. I also have training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) to strengthen the relationship between parents and children, as well as, to work through parent-child relational challenges. Finally, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to develop helpful thought patterns and an individualized coping tool kit.
