This quote speaks to the significance of motivation in order to manifest progress, rather than following rigid directives and one-sided commands. This is how I operate with regard to my work as a teacher, a writer, and a creative. I believe that when my students or clients are able to see the beauty of an end goal⁠—whether that is the objectives of a college course, a logical and engaging piece of writing, or the transformative power of a website⁠—then we can move forward together to accomplish a great deal.
