I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Physics in March 2011 with a minor in Managerial Economics and a specialization in Astrophysics. I graduated with a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Oregon State University after defending my thesis work related to PRA of a vented fuel system in September 2014. I worked as a Nuclear Engineering Intern at NuScale Power in Corvallis, OR for 2 years while working on my M.S. At OSU. Immediately after graduation I came on full-time at NuScale as a Nuclear Engineer.Specialties: MCNP, CASMO/SIMULATE, Physics, Problem Solving, Verbal and Written Communication, Microsoft Office, Matlab, fortran, C, Data Analysis, Research, Managerial Economics, Spanish

I conduct trade studies and assist in UCLASS program development. I assist in creating and maintaining the SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) lists and power budgets for two developing aircraft platforms. Conduct ongoing research and analysis concerning electric self start capabilities, li-ion battery technology, and aircraft power distribution.
I communicate complicated ideas in a simplified manner that is easy to understand for those without a scientific or technical background.
While pursuing my degree I worked as an office assistant, cashier, and special events assistant. I handle money and interact with customers regularly, exercising exceptional organization, customer service, and communication skills.
I conducted research on granular matter for the Physics department at UC Davis. I work closely with a supervising professor. I am currently collecting data and using IDL analysis software to correlate density profiles and angular stability of granular samples in a rotating "tumbler" to the shapes and combinations of grains used in a given sample.
During my internship I had the opportunity to learn many valuable skills including basic circuit designs and their applications, TurboCAD modeling, soldering, machining, battery testing techniques and analysis, how to make a superconducting electromagnet, and how flow batteries work and the effect their design has on performance. I ultimately applied my skills to design two flow battery test cells in an effort to improve the existing designs by simplifying the necessary components and creating a more efficient means of distributing the electrolyte solution throughout the cell.
