Procurement Associate (Buyer)
Current- Supply raw material in order to meet plant demand, optimizing production efficiency while maintaining adequate stock levels.- Proactively tracked and resolved past-due invoices, mitigating potential supply shortages that could disrupt production lines.- Held meetings with suppliers to assess forecasts, current open orders, and potential cancellations resulting from changes in requirements.- Monitor and provide timely information on the entire importation process, collaborating closely with the logistics and importation departments to ensure smooth transit and delivery of shipments to the plant- Performed weekly monitoring of overstock, long term items & backlog reports, actively overseeing and implementing measures to continually reduce inventory levels.- Respond promptly to production changes, expedite materials, process order cancellations, secure engineering approval for substitutes, and maintain continuous communication with the sales and production control departments regarding future forecasted models
