A challenging and highly pressurized role reporting to the Group Accountant, which entails working to tight monthly deadlines and high standards of accuracy.

The role provided key controls over the efficient processing of expenses claims, corporate credit cards and invoices and to provide support and assistance to the Payables Accountant.

This was a responsible job involving the management of workload to meet the Council’s stringent Service Level Agreements.

• Supervising team of 20, staff interviewing, training and sending to qualification courses• Responsible for Managing Purchase/Sales ledgers ensuring prompt settlement of invoices and expenses• Bank reconciliations, maintaining Petty Cash book, control of Stock and company’s mobile phones and fleet, staff salaries and temporary staff wages/timesheets• VAT/GST returns • Preparing forecast plans and Key Performance Indicator monthly reports for the Director and the Owners and assisting in the preparation of annual budgets• Dealing with all services related customer complaints
