I am used to face challenges. The answer “no” does not scare me, on the contrary, it motivates me to go ahead! I have been working with innovation for more than 30 years, offering new products, services and technologies to different markets, breaking cultural and financial barriers to provide the best solution to each client. Nowadays, instead of selling something, I share disruptive thoughts.I have always been curious about life and people. I love to keep myself up-to-date through Science, and to be in touch with people that produce it. This is why I feel so good and proud of being part of Escola Politécnica - Universidade de São Paulo. I had a great time there during my Doctorate in Computer Engineering and my Master in Civil Engineering. I made friends and met incredible professors and researchers, besides having the opportunity to work as an invited professor in some Post Graduation courses. It is great to work with my students, building knowledge together! Since 2010, my main theme of interest has been Smart, Sustainable, Resilient, Inclusive Cities, I mean, cities under an holistic and integrated view. Cities are complex systems, demanding multidisciplinary efforts to deal with all their aspects. I am planning to start my Post Doctorate very soon and hope to give some meaninful contribution to our society and Planet Earth in these challenging times.Last year I was invited to coordinate the Post Graduation course in Smart Cities at Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia, where I have been teaching in the Special Activities Program.There I offer Smart Cities and Skills for Future Professions classes, to undergraduate students from all engineering courses, besides design and administration. As a lifelong learner, I want to touch my students with my passion for teaching, and my belief that the real value of knowledge resides in sharing it. It is like love, both with the power to change lifes!I live in São Paulo, I am married, love outdoor activities, dogs, nature, to be in touch with different cultures and Planet Earth, our blue, beautiful and generous home.
