I am the former Director of Finance & Contracts at the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), where I began my career in January 2008 as the Assistant to the Director of the Center for Innovative Measures. Over 16 years, I advanced through six promotions, ultimately overseeing all program financials and ensuring successful project spending as the Director of Finance and Contracts.In addition to my time at CCSSO, I have spent the past four years consulting for various organizations in administrative, financial management, and grant management roles. I have extensive experience in managing multiple multi-million-dollar grants and sub-contracts, as well as budgeting, forecasting, and operational management. I hold a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Georgia and an M.S. in Financial Management from the University of Maryland University College.Throughout my career, I have consistently met organizational needs and objectives, earning a reputation as “the gatekeeper” and “go-to person.” I am detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records. Alongside my professional expertise, I bring a positive demeanor and proactive attitude to my work.
