John Maeda may not have gone completely viral, but he did know how to sum up my life-philosophy in just a simple tweet. Good thing, too, 'cause otherwise this bio would’ve been half a novel.So, what do I do? Why do I do this? Who am I? And most important of all, how do I take my coffee?I’m a designer, or more specifically, a visual designer. Seems overkill (it is), but with reason. To me, the core of design isn’t just colors and typography, but the underlying psychology that resides within design choices. Without brand vision, companies would never get off the ground. It’s the core of every business; someone, somewhere, had an idea, and they believed in this idea with complete conviction. Every company starts with that single idea, and this idea needs to come to life. Obviously, you can feel it coming; this is exactly where I come into play.Together, I want to find out what your company stands for, who you are, and what you do. Then, I’ll make sure the appearance matches that completely.So why do I do this? Simple: design may be the solution to a problem, but visual design is the translation of your conviction to a visual brand expression. To me, there’s nothing more interesting than that process.The second part of that tweet? That’s how I spend my free time.
