Direct management of transportation construction projects & internal operations: Technical engineering, schedule, budget and people. Delivery of multiple $100k-$5M projects from start-to-finish for local governments in Georgia, including GDOT. • Preparation of procurement documents & pre-construction operations, including utility coordinations, subcontractor arrangements, and others.• Recommend solutions (via RFI’s/Change Orders) to unforeseen field conditions and advise field adjustments, as needed & approved by the Project Owner.• Coordinate & schedule work to meet contract deadlines and expectations, including the submission of Pay Applications and billing of each project at the end of each month.• Manage logistics operations, including scheduling company-owned dump trucks & overseeing maintenance and servicing of equipment.

Compiled data from exploratory field inspections to create geotechnical reports for different construction sites throughout the State of Michigan. • Operated laboratory equipment & performed ASTM tests on soil samples to acquire various technical parameters.• Inspected spoon soil samples from a CME-55 Rig to record in-situ data (G.W.T., SPT blow count and classify samples at different depths) to create Boring logs.

Performed a 6-week site visit and completed a report of inoperative open-mine pits for assessing risks of bench failures. Used a 3D MAPTEK-Scanner to survey & import data into AutoCAD. • Modeled two inoperative open-mine pits with a MAPTEK-3D Scanner, to compare & analyze existing unstable conditions to Engineered drawings.• Software used: (1) I-Site, MineSight-3D & Excel - to retrieve surveying data and acquire a 3D model. (2) Slide and AutoCAD - to analyze cross-sections and predict soil failures based on geotechnical parameters.• Presented recommendations to avoid failures.

Participated on a trip to a rural community in the country of El Salvador, to help promoting adequate hygiene related to human excreta and preventing the further transmission of infectious diseases in the area. With the guidance and funding of EWB Professional Engineers from Michigan State University and team-designed AutoCAD drawings, project & material costs were estimated for the construction of new CMU latrines.• Shadowing the process in converting AutoCAD designs, to estimating project costs and executing field construction.• Translated the communication (Spanish-English & Vice-versa) between our MSU-EWB team and local people to promote the correct use of latrines.
