Posdoc researcher funded by FCT (Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology) with a joint project between CIIMAR in the University of Porto and CESAM in the University of Aveiro with collaboration of LSTS (FEUP). The project consists on: - Using autonomous vehicle systems to detect, track and survey coastal fronts in a coordinated and collaborative manner - Examine the generation internal waves by river plumes using high-resolution remote sensing imagery and numerical modelsOther tasks: - Responsible for the practical classes of Physical Oceanography and Remote Sensing at University of Aveiro (Physics Dpt.) - Elaborating project proposals at national and international scope (FCT, H2020, MAR2020, FundoAzul, etc) - Participation in international conferences as speaker - Supervision of master and undergraduate students - Referee of several scientific journals (oceanography and remote sensing fields)

As Researcher & Scientific consultant at the LSTS my main focus concerns:- Promoting interdisciplinary work at the forefront of science and technology work-practice- Planing research cruises and missions in cooperation with MBARI, NTNU and Portuguese Navy- Leading interdisciplinary teams in sea operations - Elaborating and negotiating project proposals as the mediator role in interdisciplinary teams - Developing and optimizing the operations of autonomous systems at sea- Assist in supervision of master and undergraduate students - Referee of several scientific journals (oceanography and remote sensing fields)
