With 15 years of experience in technology transfer and innovation, I've worked across a wide range of industries, focusing on complex software and algorithmic challenges.I hold a PhD in Security engineering, formal modelling & verification and requirements engineering, I also hold a Master’s degree in Engineering with a specialisation in Computer Science. This background gives me a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering as well a good communication skills. One of my key achievements has been founding the COAL department, focusing on combinatorial algorithmic. I also initiated the development of OscaR.cbls, an optimisation engine based on local search. OscaR.cbls is designed to be a highly relevant tradeoffs between efficiency and adaptability, OscaR.cbls features a high-level modelling language for local search procedures that can support virtually any local search metaheuristics, and well as an extensive support for global constraints, enabling better efficiency notably for routing optimisation on large-scale problems.

CETIC being a research and technology transfer centre, I have the opportunity to work both on research project, and on innovation and technology transfer, mostly as a consultant. I could deploy various algorithmic solution involving CBLS, formal methods, MIP, temporal logics, etc in a wide variety of sectors involving transportation, logistics, medical devices, security, etc. I develop the CBLS engine of OscaR, (https://bitbucket.org/oscarlib/oscar/wiki/Home) for operational research of very large problems. I have been active in optimization of logistics, including fuel delivery, and technician dispatching. I have been working on transportation systems (ASLTOM), developing automated software transformation software for safety-critical systems. I was involved in the Deploy FP7 project aiming at deploying formal methods in industrial settings. This project involved four industrial sectors including transportation (Siemens), automotive (Bosh), business (SAP), and space (Space System Finland). It also involved a wealth of SMA mostly active in embedded system development. I was involved in the collection of information regarding the effectiveness of formal methods in commercial industries including technical functions, norms, ROI, processes, training, etc. I was involved in state of the art development for security application. This included developing an automated test case generation solution for EAL4 systems for STMicro, and the automated generation of security policies for the GridTrust FP6 project. Feasibility studies for the deployment of automated validation techniques for safety-critical medical systems for IBA (Spring, Java, program slicing)

I have been elaborating a new standard for the resource management of operating systems targeted to embedded, multi-processors systems. The basic idea, developed at IMEC, is to annotate software with so-called "metadata" that declare the resource requirements of the software (memory, processors, parallelization, deadlines, etc) throughout its execution.
