Some of my responsibilities are ;• Preparing and uploading monthly recurring and ad hoc journals onto Accpac.• Reviewing and approving debtors and creditors reconciliations. • Approving of Accounts payables monthly reconciliations • Uploading payments to the bank• Uploading debit orders to the bank.• Intercompany reconciliation and consolidations• Processing of Capex capital expenditure documents to be submitted for Board approval and liaising with the relevant banks for contract and financing. • Capturing of Fixed Assets, running of monthly depreciations, disposal, scrapping, transfers between locations (Branches) and writing off assets on the systems and maintenance of monthly reconciled Fixed Assets Register• Overall reconciliation of the GL accounts to ensure that all costs and revenues have been accounted for as per the budgeted figures, to the relevant branch.• Compilation and processing of yearly budget.• Reporting on variance analysis between budgeted and actual monthly, YTD figures.• Overseeing and managing the daily functioning of the finance team – Debtors team, Creditors team, Branch Administrator

My daily duties includes but not limited to handling the day-to-day financial functioning of companies, including maintenance of the respective general ledgers, calculating VAT for various companies, submitting VAT201 as well as processing payments on SARS e-filing system, conducting research on tax laws, communicating with clients to explain tax issues, preparing tax returns for individuals, Trust and corporate, keeping clients compliant with their tax obligations, assisting income tax audits for individuals, Trust and corporate, calculating quarterly estimated tax payments, helping with tax planning for for individuals, Trust and corporate, conducting quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations for individuals, Trust and corporate and researching and resolving payroll tax, compliance, and accounting issues.

My daily duties includes but not limited to leading financial statement audits and the delivery of audit products, assist clients with VAT, PAYE, annual income tax and provisional tax return, ensure that audit queries are dealt with timeously and audit deadline is achieved, prepare of annual financial statements for clients in accordance with International Financial, reporting Standards and IFRS for small and medium-sized entities, performed inventory cost analysis, pricing review, inventory to mark-up review, and providing advice on inventory controls.
