Rendy Prastiko is currently a PhD student in Engineering Science at Sorbonne Paris Nord University. He is conducting research on water decontamination using a (non-thermal) plasma-liquid interactions technique, with a specific focus on the treatment of "forever chemicals" per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at the Laboratory of Process and Material Sciences (LSPM), a research unit of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). His research project is part of a collaborative research framework between CNRS and the University of Chicago.Before joining LSPM, he did his final-year internship as an R&D chemist at Seres OL, an enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of online water analyzers and hydrocarbon monitoring. He completed his master's degree in Environmental Management with a specialization in Environmental Analysis and Diagnostic of Pollutions from Aix-Marseille University. He also obtained a bachelor's degree in Marine Science and Technology from IPB University.
