As a Linux server administrator in an on-premise environment, I was responsible for managing the servers of the Ciudad Segura Bicentennial project in Mexico City. This critical project focused on 911, 089 emergency numbers and panic buttons, where TETRA, SIP and PSTN resources were managed. My primary role was to configure, monitor, and maintain these servers, which ran Red Hat and Debian operating systems.Regarding the configuration, I was in charge of installing and optimizing the operating system on the servers, this involved configuring the services necessary to manage the TETRA, SIP and PSTN resources, such as Asterisk for managing SIP calls or public telephone services. (PSTN), along with other relevant components.Server monitoring was a fundamental part of my job. Implemented monitoring solutions to monitor the performance and availability of resources. This included monitoring system resources such as CPU, memory, and storage utilization, as well as monitoring critical project services. Additionally, I set up alerts to quickly detect and respond to potential issues or failures.
