I’ve always had a natural talent to connect things and HR is all about making meaningful connections.There was a time in my life where basketball was all that mattered. It taught me about teamwork, tenacity and sacrifice. I loved the competition and appreciated getting results from my own efforts. When that chapter ended, I started my career journey through customer service roles. These opportunities helped me learn patience, empathy and problem solving.My first love in HR was compliance and employment law. I was fascinated to learn about the laws that protected the rights of my fellow citizens and wanted to learn all I could to support the business through a lawful and fair employee experience.As I started down the path of Human Resources, I found myself pulling from the talents I’d built in my early adult life. I was becoming successful because I knew the importance of working collaboratively with teams. I was true to my word and honored my commitments. I was able to sacrifice short-term wants for long-term opportunities. I understood how to work effectively with people and empathize with their point of view. I brought value by being able to solve problems.Now, with several years of tactical and strategic experience, I create value for my clients through my proven ability to execute with meaningful results.
