Rene received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Marketing and has over 15 years of Finance, Marketing and Operations experience across various industries. Determined to leverage her Finance/Marketing degree, she joined a NYC based Private Equity Group where she worked as a Finance and Operations Associate. After several years in the NYC bubble, she decided to branch out and explore a career in Guam within hospitality to broaden her cultural background and get closer to the end-customer transactional experience. Since her move to Guam over 10 years ago, Rene has been a leader in guest service and experience through positions held at the Pacific Islands Club Guam and Outrigger Guam Beach Resort. From 2016 to 2018, Rene was able to expand upon her marketing and event planning skills in managing some of Guam’s signature events, such as the United Airlines Guam Marathon, The Guam Ko’ko’ Road Races and the Guam Micronesian Island Fair, attracting tourism to the island and providing a direct positive impact to Guam’s economy. Rene has also served as Chairwoman for the Food and Beverage Committee of the Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association for over 7 years, and has been involved in various outreach programs with GHRA to stimulate economic development, specifically during the trying times of the COVID pandemic.
