Manage a team of planners and schedulers responsible for procurement planning and detailed production scheduling for the Gas Controls Business unit, reporting directly to the Business Unit Operations Manager:• Lead and managed the SIOP process for the business unit, improving capacity and manpower utilization by more than 30% and at the same time improving schedule adherence from less than 70% to 90% consistently• Lead and managed the customer service group and activities for the business unit, improving service ratings eliminating Customer complaints• Responsible to execute and track performance of production planning, past due reduction, revenue/shipments, and OTD (on time delivery)• Lead the group to re-engineer the planning structure from repetitive manufacturing to discrete manufacturing, reducing past dues to manageable levels (70% reduction), improving on time delivery to 95% plus, from a historical of less than 65%, and at the same time improving inventory turns from less than 6 to 11.5 turns• Lead the materials group in the implementation of SIOP-MPS/CTB process• Reduced w.i.p. inventory to less than half of what it was before the conversion to discrete manufacturing
