The lifting specialist should possess extensive technical knowledge, have received appropriate training, and hold relevant qualifications for this role. The lifting specialist will be responsible for the implementation and operation of the relevant Siemens Wind Power safety policies and procedures on all related project specific sites. The lifting specialist in Siemens Wind Power will have responsibility for the compilation, reviewing of lifting documentation including procedures, lift plan Risk assessment/method statements both internally and for external sources to ensure the safe movement and installation of wind turbine components. The lifting specialist will also ensure that the lift plans are implemented and procedures are followed by the relevant competent personnel on site. The lifting specialist will ensure that all relevant documentation is present prior to the commencement of the project and in turn will also ensure that the documentation is compliant with local legislation; theThe lifting specialist will also conduct audits on the implementation of the lift plans within projects. The lifting specialist will be responsible for the day to day assessment of the staff who is employed to execute the physical lifting on site and ensure they have the relevant qualifications, technical knowledge and experience for the associated lift related tasks. In regard to this aspect of works the lifting specialist will provide support to the relevant hiring managers / manning personnel as and when required. The lifting specialist will be responsible to mentor, coach, assign and assess lifting plans and execution of these for colleagues in other Siemens Wind Power departments.
