Even terug op het "oude nest". Na 9 jaar weer aan de slag gegaan in het bedrijf waar ik al eerder met veel plezier heb mogen werken. Gasten in de watten leggen en het restaurant nog mooier en beter maken waren belangrijke speerpunten.

Hotel Lapershoek is a 4-star hotel situated in Hilversum. The hotel has 80 rooms, a restaurant, a closed veranda and brasserie. Furthermore the hotel has got 12 conference rooms with a maximum capacity of approximately 1200 persons. Lapershoek is part of the Amrâth-chain, to which fifteen hotels belong. All rooms have been restored in old grandeur and lend themselves sticking out for both business and festive occasions. At Grand hotel Karel V I was operative as Banquet manager. In this function I carried the responsibility concerning the whole department, assisted by one assistant, 3 supervisors and 20 employees (16 FTE). As the f&b-Manager I was responsible for the operational pace of matter, assisted by 2 shiftleaders, 3 heads of department and 15 employees. Other attentive tasks: sales, control of budget, set up sale action, etc. Main task however was introducing a good structure, putting down a good team and mastering costs and converts, since Vitam had just started February 1, 2004 on this new location.

The “Filmhuis” was located in the centre of Amersfoort. The company had a wide Grand café with ditto bar, a terrace with approximately 100 seats, a restaurant on the first floor with approximately 65 seats and a conference room with a reception capacity of 60 persons. The company was very beautiful, much visited and had a very good name in Amersfoort. I had total responsibility at the “Filmhuis”. Because of economic reasons my contract has not been extended. Restaurant "De Hoofdwacht" is a large restaurant in the centre of Gorinchem. The building has 2 floors with 200 seats and has a terrace with 150 seats. Beside an à la carte menu there is also the possibility for groups to eat or have a meeting. In the function of general manager I was responsible for the operational pace of matter, assisted by the assistant manager, 2 shiftleaders and 25 employees. Other attentive tasks: staff recruitment, control of budget, set up sale action, etc.

Golden Tulip Loosdrecht is a 4-star hotel located in Loosdrecht. In the function of Food & Beverage Manager I was responsible for the whole department, both operational and administrative. Attentive tasks are: make staff recruitment, stock management, budget, make proposals with regard to investments, training the employees on the floor, etc. Because I couldn’t do the things I wanted to do in the hotel I have taken the decision to leave the company.

Golden Tulip Jan Tabak ( nowadays NH Jan Tabak ) is a 5-star hotel with 87 chambers. The banqueting department has 5 salons, 7 executive board rooms and 2 standard board rooms. The maximum capacity is 500 people. In the function of Banqueting Operations manager I was responsible for the whole department banqueting, both on the floor and administrative. I have obtained the largest sattisfaction from creating a strong team, the drawing up of standards and care for an ongoing product.
