Testing also included non-destructive testing in bolted and welded connections, floor flatness and levelness tests, continuous sampling and testing self-consolidating concrete, and continuous monitoring and inspections on over 400 auger-cast piles bearing at a depth of 65 feet.*Creek Meadows Subdivision, in College Station where I managed the materials testing and inspections of three phases of the subdivision that equate to 800,000 square feet of site improvements per the Bryan/College Station Unified Specifications. The construction also included assisting the City of College Station with the decision-making and laydown monitoring of an asphalt overlay on approximately 25% of the roads due to substandard results.

Professional Experience:Engineering Technician/Maintenance SupervisorIn this position, I help oversee 8 different groups of maintenance personnel that encompass the Maintenance Department. As part of the Engineering Department, I supervise, troubleshoot, overhaul, and modify equipment that fails during production to reduce downtime. Additionally, I retrofit new and used equipment to meet production needs, and help design and invent equipment to reduce manual labor and increase efficiencies in all aspects of production, conveying, and storage of ice cream. Moreover, I am responsible of assisting the junior and senior programmers with any planning, projects, and problems that may arise at the plant. This position requires troubleshooting, wiring, programming, and problem solving skills under pressure.Containment CoordinatorIn this position, I manage building renovation projects in the areas of respirable dust, containment, traffic flow, removal of debris, and clean-up procedures. I analyze areas isolated for demolition and determine the most efficient path for human traffic, materials and debris, and guarantee there is negative-pressure to prevent cross-contamination. From the time I was hired, I had to go through the 8 different groups of maintenance to learn the basics of each group. Most tasks included manual labor to learn some of the systems and pieces of equipment from the ground-up. I was also asked to make note of flaws in any of the systems currently in place and make recommendations as deemed necessary. I was the only one selected to be in the Engineering Department out of a group of five trainees.
