I've worked with medical claims and billing. As new claims are assigned to me, I review them by contacting the employer and the physician to verify specifics of claim and medical status. If claim is under investigation I assign surveilliance, order statements, and have photos taken of the accident locations as needed. When the claim involves an MVA, I request the declaration pages, police reports, and file a claim with other driver's auto carrier and then put appropriate parties on notice. When the claim involves an arrest, with the police report and parties on notice; I contact the prosecutor's office and submit request for restitution to the prosecutor and judge assigned to the case.
