Responsible for growing the capabilities of the business and commercial function (~4000 ppl) to elevate commercial fluency of B&C practitioners globally through implementation of various talent management programs

Support the development of high-quality, well-aligned Business Plans for Chevron's Energy Technology Company. Coordinate specific elements of the overall planning process to deliver management insights needed to ensure sound decision making.

Led development and deployment of safety processes and procedures to enhance process safety performance as support to project managers and business unit management. Provide support for process safety auditing activities. Provide technical services and guidance to support Process Safety and Risk Management activities across Enterprise: Such services may include I-HAZID facilitation, Process Hazard Analysis Facilitation, Facility Siting screening activities, and contract facilitator qualification. Develop training/presentation material and deliver training as needed to promote process safety across Enterprise.

Manage the process for developing Strategic and Business plans for Emerging Energy BU, Support scenario planning, evaluation of potential technology pathways, and new business models, researching, aggregating and sharing emerging technology and competitor action signposts and portfolio analysis activities. Conduct analysis of actual performance vs. Plan and prepare reports to enable discussions on performance and decisions on actions to mitigate risks and improve performance. Maintain databases of information relating to technology, projects, initiatives and compliance activities.Prepare communication packages on Emerging Technology activities including periodic newsletters. Provide planning/scheduling, cost control, financial/accounting support for multiple small yet complex emerging energy capital projects in the international and domestic arena. Projects involve new renewable and alternative energy technologies deployed in unique business models with unproven vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Help project teams develop staffing plans, manpower histograms and timelines, interface with finance, costs control and contracting procurement systems, support risk assessment and mitigation processes, prepare project cash flow and expenditure forecasts.
