Throughout college I have taken a variety of business and accounting courses to transition to the Health Care Management major at Towson University. These course have allowed me to learn: the legal environment of business, general and intermediate accounting, business communication, information science (Microsoft office programs), economics, statistics, payroll accounting, computerized accounting, and the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers course completion (with its 6 certificates). My current role at Walgreens as a Community Management Intern has provided the opportunity to learn a combination of retail and pharmacy business. I have been able to analyze store sales including completing an intern project increasing owned brand sales. I have the ability to learn from store management, the district manager, and other locations managers. I am responsible for leading customer service associates through shift tasks and solving problems as they arise. There is an emphasis on focusing on customer needs, loss prevention, and efficient problem solving. My previous role at Keyes Creamery began as a retail position and allowed me to grow into the administrative side of things. I began learning customer service and maintaining store cleanliness, and filling orders for wholesale accounts. As store Assistant Manager, I learned how to manufacture product, manage our wholesale accounts, order store products from all accounts, count cash drawers, maintain petty cash tracking, and other store accounts. I have experience in managing employees, employee tax information, payroll status, and was involved in the hiring processes. While being the stores event coordinator I managed multiple social media accounts expanding our reach over 3,000 followers.
