Growing up on a small farm, I quickly developed a passion for agriculture and livestock. My career interests have spanned performance horse nutrition to the dairy industry and most recently human nutrition. A common goal among both human and animal nutrition is to support health by maintaining proper body condition and preventing chronic diseases to avoid difficult and costly treatment. As an aspiring dietitian with an animal science background, I strive to educate others about the health benefits of milk and milk products. With the growing popularity of lactose-free dairy items in grocery stores and possible legalization of raw milk, there is a need for professionals dedicated to this important area of nutrition.
