Primary Medical Practice

I was the coordinator between IP verification, Patient Access Services and Utilization Management. I also was one of the lead educators for Patient Financial Services. My expertise in insurance verification and authorization encompasses IP services, Mental Health, OP services, Infusion and Cancer services, Rehabilitation and Emergency Room. I have worked in all areas of the PFS revenue cycle and was a member of several Revenue Cycle teams. My work at Munson Medical Center resulted in a reduction of IP insurance rejections by 75% ($2 million down to under $500,000 per month) as well as preventing a potentional $1.5 million in rejections for the Cancer Services department.
