- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate the execution & delivery of the LRL portfolio.- Drive the application and integration of key project management processes and tools across teams/functional areas/external labs to deliver successful outsourcing of and conduct of clinical and non-clinical asset and portfolio value with quality on time, on budget and within scope.Oversight of quality management of third party organizations conducting regulated and non-regulated work. The quality management system includes the standards, processes, roles/responsibilities, and governances required throughout the selection, approval, implementation, operation, and termination phases of the TPO lifecycle management process. This ensures effective scientific and quality deliverables that meet applicable Lilly corporate standards.- Assess Third Party Organizations (TPOs) handling Company Confidential Information (CCI)security practices and capabilities. Monitor and prioritize risk with the team and communicate the status of potential risk to governance, Business Units and Senior Leadership as appropriate. Suggest ways to avoid/mitigate risk and initiate contingency plans as needed. - Provides operational expertise and coordination of research programs/processes to meet business function goals and objectives. (Includes: capital lab equipment management and budget planning; lab safety programs and inspections)- Effectively manage cross-functional communications, anticipate and resolve issues with the project, ensure documentation of key team/asset information and decisions.- Participate in functional area business planning and implementation of mission, vision, strategic intent, budget, policies, procedures and practices into a single global integrated plan. Make adjustments as necessary to meet functional area performance goals and quality requirements.- Partner with Procurement to effectively utilize resource modeling and forecasting processes and tools. Understands FRAP and consults with internal teams regarding FRAP compliance. Utilizes delegated Authority to Commit (dATC) and contracting expertise to enable external vendors to initiate work with speed.
