I am also proud to be part of the team honored with the 2015 regional and national Edward R. Murrow awards for Overall Excellence. I build, write and produce a 30-60 minute newscast almost daily. I look for stories my target audience would want to hear about, put them in the best order, write and tease the stories, supervise reporters and look over their scripts, decide how the story would be presented whether it be with a graphic, video, sound, or on camera. When the newscast goes on air, I make sure it is on time and add breaking news if needed. There’s been many long days of staying late, coming in early or on my days off for severe weather and breaking news coverage.
