Develop and manage internal communications strategy, execution and visibility for the company’s executive vice president of Trading and Education and his team of nearly 300 associates. Support the development of quarterly town halls, leadership talking points and firmwide presentations including production of content, communications, emcee, and associate engagement. Editor and weekly contributor of our internal newsroom, “The Exchange.” • Wrote and deployed an average of 30 news stories and 75 Slack posts per quarter to engage associates across the firm and in the business unit with initiatives, new offerings, wins, general updates, financial literacy and encourage reinforcement when speaking with clients. • Executed communication plans and created tactics to share important announcements and product launches including a new trading platform, new trading offerings, streaming network and business expansion to educate and inform associates on new offerings. • Served as ghost writer for the Trading and Education executive vice president and his leadership team creating monthly communications to their teams, as well as quotes for internal articles to ensure messaging is consistent and effective. • Worked with a graphic artist to create a monthly infographic that visually shares Trading and Education business metrics in a way that is easy for associates to understand.• Ideated and created quarterly celebratory announcements, including work anniversaries, engagements, weddings and new babies to engage associates and boost morale.• Received accolades for continuously exceeding expectations including the MARK Award (October 2019) and Semi-Annual Marketing President’s Club (April 2018).

I am honored to have received two regional Edward R. Murrow awards for Best Newscast in both 2011 and 2012. I am also proud to be part of the team honored with the 2015 regional and national Edward R. Murrow awards for Overall Excellence. I build, write and produce a 30-60 minute newscast almost daily. I look for stories my target audience would want to hear about, put them in the best order, write and tease the stories, supervise reporters and look over their scripts, decide how the story would be presented whether it be with a graphic, video, sound, or on camera. When the newscast goes on air, I make sure it is on time and add breaking news if needed. There’s been many long days of staying late, coming in early or on my days off for severe weather and breaking news coverage. I also write stories, as well as add images and video to our website ketv.com. Several stories I have written have been featured on CNN's Website. A number of other stories have been the most read on our website.

I worked with sources in law enforcement, government and community to keep targeted viewers informed of the latest city news. I interviewed sources, shot video, wrote and edited stories and performed live shots on location or in the newsroom for a variety of newscasts. I also filled in as a producer when needed.
