About Renee Shaeffer

I have the honor of being both a Spiritual Director (www.curating4connection.com) and the Partnerships Director at Gospel Patrons (www.GospelPatrons.org). I graduated from seminary with a Masters in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care in 2011 after resigning as a high school teacher and head volleyball coach (both of which I loved). While in the program we were encouraged not to have a mentality of attempting to master the Word of God but to be mastered by it. The program was the gospel for Christians (as one of my directors put it). It was an incredible opportunity that God has used to mark my faith forever. I felt known and loved in the deepest places – connected and seen and pursued. Since then, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I have postured myself into willing submission, seeking to walk in step with Him and truly abide in Jesus as the True Vine, looking for Him in both the mundane and the extraordinary. I love that I get to bring this into all that I do with my family, friends, profession, and practice.

Walking alongside one another in prayer, listening, and discernment for where God is at work and how we can partner with Him in it. More and more we struggle to carve out time to be still and to be silent when it is what we desperately need most. Direction creates a space to hear and to be heard, to process and to ponder, to reflect and to re-familiarize ourself with the voice of God.
