I have a wide range of interests and experiences/abilities. I speak, read, write, and teach Spanish, but also enjoyed studying French and Mandarin. I earned a Master's in Linguistics and, in the process, developed a keen interest in phonetics and phonology and the "why" of languages. Each one has its own rules, and I love getting my students to think about this as they learn Spanish. I also enjoy teaching and tutoring ESOL and English Composition and studying American and British Literature as well as writing literary analyses and non-fiction essays.My first love was Biology and the Natural Sciences, and I still make use of this interest in understanding the world around me and encouraging my students in their interests within this area.In addition to teaching, I have numerous years of experience in retail, retail management, and customer service and customer service management, oftentimes in a bilingual setting.
