The golf industry has been good to me. 2017-2024 I have been able to work in a wide variety of positions from a golf shop cashier to a marketing and communication role. The industry has offered me new and unique ways to offer my talent and to gain important knowledge. I have grown my network in two states and have made so many friends along the way. I am grateful for my ability to be a woman working in sports, but specifically in golf. Ball State University was an important stepping stone. My journey at BSU was always in the College of Communication. I was one of the few students who never changed their major. Interpersonal Communication classes allowed me to refine many skills that I have needed in my work experience. My Master’s degree gave me a chance to dive deeper into teaching, training, writing, and developing a wide variety of communication skills.
