I am pursuing my second year Bachelor’s in Marketing at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. I have recently completed a Summer School program in Luxury Management at Bocconi University in Milan. Having an interest in fashion, beauty and luxury and an educational background in Marketing and Luxury Management, I believe I can contribute valuably.Through my experience in the Luxury Management program, I have learned marketing strategies and the importance of storytelling that luxury brand managers have to undertake to find a balance between marketing to new customers whilst maintaining exclusivity. To be able to preserve its core values and heritage while innovating new ideas, and positioning its products and services as exclusive products only catered to a specific target group with the aim to still expand its customer base is no easy feat. As such, I am hoping to gain more insight through this internship opportunity.Through past company visits to luxury companies such as Bellini Nautica and guest talks from luxury brand Creative Directors example Giannico Shoes, I have learned how luxury brands have adopted virtual stores, augmented and mixed reality experiences and NFTs in the age of Digital Transformation. With my knowledge of Customer Relationship Management and the importance of Omnichannel to deliver a seamless experience across channels while simultaneously expressing the brand and meeting customer needs via the necessary touchpoints, I believe that I will be a valuable asset to this leading Omni-distribution platform for beauty and luxury brands.As a service staff at my current job, I have developed customer-oriented skills. By analysing each customer’s needs and personalising each experience, I have created a sense of trust and loyalty. From there, I cross-sell and upsell products as they are more trusting of my recommendations, increasing sales.I have had social media marketing experience as the Head of Social Media for Project Contento, a volunteering program under Once Upon A Monday, I have spearheaded the content creation, filming and photography to create informative yet engaging posts for the program’s Instagram and Facebook page.I am eager to gain new knowledge and insight, and receive constructive criticism. I am confident that my creativity, passion, proactiveness, problem-solving, critical thinking, time management and customer-oriented skills will allow for valuable contributions.
