Renee supported the work of senior administrators in the assessment, design, implementation and evaluation of training programs for leaders and the general workforce who supported three hospitals and nearly 60 health clinics. A sampling of results from service events and projects she was directly involved with during her 10-year tenure include:- raising $250,000+ for Valley Children’s Hospital through the annual Kids Day event-collecting 12,000+ units of blood with Central California Blood Center,- gathering 4 1⁄2 tons of donated items for the Disabled American Veterans.Renee is the founder of the Richter Center S.E.R.V.E. Committee and co-founder of the Richter Center Reflection Facilitators, both programs are still in existence at Fresno State. The two leadershipprograms engage students in meaningful service to their peers and the community. Renee advised and coached students in both programs; and was honored with Fresno State’s Outstanding Advisor Award in 2014.In addition to event planning and advising, Renee was responsible for the promotion of community service programming. She served as the spokesperson at community service events. She developed her writing skills by drafting press releases, promotional materials, articles for University Communications outlets and updating the Richter Center events webpages.
