PhD Student at the Biomedical Robotics and Biomicrosystems Laboratory, at the university Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. The research line for the PhD program was Surgical Robotics, where the main topic was Haptics for Teleoperated Surgical Robotics Systems with the robots KUKA (slave) and Falcon (master).Achievements:• Understanding of the forward and inverse kinematics of the KUKA robot. • Created a compilation of bibliographic reference on different studies about software architectures that integrate the data information from various types of sensors present on the robot, the goal was to improve the quality of the haptic feedback of the system. • Programming skills on C were strengthened.

The main work concerned the design of a magnetics fields exposure system, to be used in applications with drug delivery, on the research to new therapies against cancer. The research focused on studying different kind of coils that would be able to generate the desire magnetic field, It was combined with the experience at the laboratory, assisting on different measurements of coils systems, present in the lab, aiming to analyze their behavior and assess their application to the desired use. Achievements: • Final recommendations on what materials and structure to use for the construction of a new coil system were given.• The results found were to be used on the next phase of the project, which was beginning of dosimetrics simulations. • Strengthened skills such as problem solving attitude, analytical thinking and optimization, given the restrictions established by the laboratory resources.
