I edit long (600+ page manuscripts so far) academic monographs for clarity and correctness. The work so far has been very interesting, and I really enjoy making positive contributions to an author's work. I have done work for UNC Press, BNA, and the Land Trust Alliance, among others.

My primary responsibilities were to select, transcribe, and annotate primary documents from National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) files to form the thematic chapters of a documentary volume. I also composed analytical introductory essays to the chapters under my responsibility, drawing on the documents and relevant secondary literature. I.

I taught a graduate seminar on the Civil War era. I was responsible for assigning course texts, providing historiographical and theoretical context for the works under discussion, conducting seminar meetings, holding office hours, and grading the graduate students' written work.

I was responsible for researching and composing a chapter entitled “The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology” in _100 Years of Nurturing Bioscience: The ASBMB Centennial History_ (forthcoming). I also extensively edited the other chapters in the volume for substance, style, and copy.

I was responsible for assigning course texts, preparing and delivering lectures, holding discussions, conducting office hours, and grading written examinations and essays.

I was in charge of teaching course material for a given undergraduate class in small tutorial groups. My responsibilities involved eliciting discussion, ensuring that students understood the material, and all grading, feedback, and evaluation of tests and essays.
