•Coordinated department of 4 professionals responsible for monthly, weekly, daily production, scheduling and capacity planning of seamless steel pipes (+280ktons annual production).•Established rough cut capacity plans, managed, coordinated and controlled operation processes (rolling, heat treatment and finishing lines with post processes in premium lines outside Ontario).•Managed replenishment of raw material and accessories reducing the value of the obsolete stock by $2 million in a period of 15 months by establishing procedures, automating databases and creating working premises.•Prepared the monthly mill plant load, working actively with Operations, Quality and Logistics to ensure fulfillment of the monthly plan.•Increased mill compliance from 85% to 97% by developing production control strategies ensuring fulfillment of orders by requested date, thus acquiring the highest degree of reliability for all the facilities in the Tenaris industrial system.•Managed the purchase of raw material on a yearly basis at 150k tons of steel, work in progress and overage.•Monitored and ensured orders were produced by RFS Date, adjusting production schedules as needed, within the constraints of the mill due to unexpected breakdowns or material quality•Executed and supervised departmental procedures aligned with industry standards (API, CSA, ASTM, ASME) Health&Safety and Corporate Quality Management System, audited and approved by API, ISO and Shell Oil Corp.•Supervised and controlled the SAP module for accepting production orders by assigning product codes, production routes, accessories and delivery based on customer specifications, purchase orders, industry standards and local procedures.

•Installed, designed, implemented and maintained IT tools to deliver work orders on time by adding additional information to the shipping line schedule, resulting in a significant reduction of double handling activities representing a savings of $900 thousand annually.•Led and implemented a Continuous Improvement Group which increased productivity through eliminating stoppage times (300 hours/year) at a cost savings of $ 270 thousand annually.•Implemented business negotiations with the Customer to consume accessories (value $750 thousand) instead of scrapping as per norm changes and local procedures.•Scheduled daily, weekly and monthly production for eight inter-related production island / production line centers, maximized available time, maintained change over time within budget, and monthly tonnage according to planned capacity•Contributed, participated and executed the implementation of SAP Commercial and Logistics for The Americas, including customizations, localizations, and integration with local applications and systems.
