As the MACC Department Manager & Xero Champion at Baker Tilly Greenwoods Chartered Accountants, I lead a team who provide monthly accounting and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. I also oversee the implementation and training of Xero, a cloud-based accounting software, across the firm. I have been working at Baker Tilly Greenwoods since 2021, starting as an Accounting Trainee and progressing to an Accountant in 2023, before taking on my current role in 2024. I have a BCom Financial Accounting degree from North-West University, where I was a member of the Golden Key honour society. I am also certified in Dext Prepare, a data extraction and analysis tool, and SimplePay, a payroll software. I have developed skills in financial accounting, taxation, CaseWare software, and Xero software, as well as leadership, communication, and problem-solving. I am passionate about delivering high-quality and efficient accounting services to our clients, and staying updated on the latest technological developments in the accounting field. My goal is to continue to grow professionally and personally.
