De gemeenten zijn sinds 1 januari 2020 ambtelijk gefuseerd, een bestuurlijke fusie is gepland op 1 januari 2022. Ik heb zorg gedragen voor harmonisatie en inrichting van concern juridische processen, voor de teamvorming en teamverantwoordelijkheden van de nieuw ontstane teams en het oplossen van personele knelpunten die naar aanleiding van de fusie zijn ontstaan. Daarnaast gaf ik leiding aan de projectgroep Kernenbeleid, het eerste gemeenschappelijke beleid van beide gemeenten waarin de participatie van bewoners en andere belanghebbenden op bestuurlijk vernieuwende wijze vorm wordt gegeven. Ik heb voorts geadviseerd over de inrichting van de projectorganisatie voor de bestuurlijke fusie en heb in het kader van de corona crisis leiding gegeven aan de actiecentra bestuurlijk juridische zaken en Veiligheid.

Results and ActivitiesThrough advice, discussion and development of training programs, policies, terms of references and other related documents I have supported the team with the implementation of the program and development of their skills.My membership of international forums in the field of strengthening democracy and good governance made it possible to share research and experiences from other countries with the team within the NCDDS and with VSO colleagues, therebyenabling mutual learning. I liaised with Civil Society Organisations that collaborated with NCDDS in the implementation of Social Accountability and advised about the governance structure and partnership between government and civil society organizations.

Job Purpose: development of the management capacities of the directors. Results and ActivitiesI made an organizational analysis of strengths and weaknesses in collaboration with the directors and supported them to choose priorities and develop a plan of action. The first priority was to develop a Human Resources system, consisting of organizational charts, departmental mandates and responsibilities and job descriptions, which would fit with an initiative to digitalize staff files in a database built by JICA, the Japanese development organization. I created these documents in collaboration with the directors, thus developing their skills through discussion, advice, creation and learning by doing. As most staff files were out of date or were missing I assisted with visits to health facilities and sent for information to obtain an up to date list of staff.In addition I provided advice about coordination of programs of NGOs with priorities of the Ministry, advised on the preparation and use of the Health pooled Fund, made an assessment of education and training needs, and I advised on improving the information flow in the ministry and coordination between state and county offices.

I have undertaken successful initiatives such as mediation in legal objection handling, a benchmark on the legal function in Municipalities and I am co-initiator and co-founder of the Foundation for post graduate Law studies for legal advisors in local government for which the University of Nijmegen provides the courses. Program and Project management Public SafetyI managed the Program on integral safety in close cooperation with the municipal fire department. I initiated, developed, institutionalized and brought under one roof a network for coordination and collaboration on integral public safety issues consisting of police, prosecution, judiciary and private organisations (NGOs) and municipalities and represented the affiliated organizations in the Judicial Consultation. A have coordinated the preparations for a successful air show to mark 100 years of Dutch aviation. Remainder Several organizational changes have been made, including the privatization of the Office for first juvenile offenders, transfer of the office of permits to support the "one window function" and streamlined the cluster public order and safety with the teams in the public safety network. I have set up a project for the development of a procurement unit.
