Software Team Lead Ii
CurrentI'm currently leading a transformative project aimed at modernizing legacy COBOL code into Java-based cloud-native distributed applications. Due to confidentiality agreements, I can't disclose client details, but I'm collaborating closely with a dedicated fraud detection team. Our primary goal is to support high-volume transactions, processing millions daily. Our efforts are split into two crucial areas: fraud prevention, where we identify and block fraudulent transactions in real-time, and fraud detection, where completed transactions are analyzed retrospectively for insights. Both operations involve dedicated teams ensuring swift and appropriate responses to detected fraud. In this role, I oversee a talented team while making significant individual contributions. My responsibilities include optimizing message consumption and processing flows, integrating Health APIs across applications with Kubernetes deployments for robust pod management, and implementing a resilient message notification system for immediate incident response.Key technological foundations include Java, MySQL, DynamoDB, MyBatis, Spring Boot, AWS Cloud services, JUnit for testing, Spring Actuator for monitoring, Kafka for real-time data streaming, Spring Cache for performance enhancements, and profiling tools for system optimization. My expertise extends to team management, mentoring, and task allocation, ensuring daily stand-ups, Jenkins for continuous integration, Kubernetes for deployment and monitoring, rigorous code reviews, COBOL code analysis, story creation, sprint demonstrations, software component analysis, security scans, comprehensive test coverage, JIRA for project management, meticulous documentation, effective communication, and stakeholder engagement.
