About Rennie Mcconnochie

I have held a varied number of positions within the financial services industry. Initially I trained as an oil analyst at Wood Mackenzie in 1985 before joining Smith New Court in 1988. I ultimately ran UK equity distribution and after SNC was acquired by Merrill Lynch I went on to run the European equity business, and then equity research in the region. I joined Bridgewell in 2004, where I Iater became CEO. I joined RP Capital, the emerging markets hedge fund and advisory specialist, in July 2007 and left in July 2011. Having had to take time off due to illness ( now totally recovered ) I have joined Aberdeen Asset Management to look after senior client relationships in New York. After 7.5 years in NY, I moved back to the UK with abrdn and am now global head of Key Client Relationships with the firm.
