When I was 31 years old for me Coffee was just something hot, brown and needed in the morning. Till the day in 2001 when I was applying for Job at Kraft in the Green Coffee Buying Department........and I was trapped. Here I went through all coffee related departments, Production and Process facilities, I traveled to Origin Countries and I've became a Coffee Buyer over the years. In 2006 I was asked to come to Switzerland where I've worked further 3.5 years for Kraft till I've got the chance to join Decotrade GmbH in 2010 as Coffee Quality & Blending Manager for D.E Master Blenders 1753. In July 2013 I've accepted a new challenge at Volcafe Ltd in Winterthur as Head of Quality to build up a new Coffee Quality Competence Center. During this time I was also more involved in the Specialty Market as well and started in April 2020 a new project and joined the Volcafe sister company Gollücke & Rothfos in Bremen, as new Head of Quality to be closer to our Speciality Coffee segment.For me Coffee is not only Job, for me it became part of my live also privately. So I'm happy to say that I do not go to work, I just enjoy my life. I'm also a licensed Q - Arabica Grader and in 2010 I became Swiss Champion in Cup Tasting and represented Switzerland at the World Championships in London where I became 12th. But next to Coffee there are also some other things that I love to do e.g. riding my Harley and playing Blues Harp, travel around the world with my wife, or having great Evenings with friends.Spezialgebiete: Coffee Quality, Sensory Evaluation, Production Planning
