-Oversee day-to-day operations of Safe Inc. of Schenectady’s seven county Anti-Trafficking Program-Ensure compliance with NYS OTDA grant regulations and requirements-Responsible for the oversight and implementation of services for confirmed trafficking victims -Create and modify policies for Anti-Trafficking Program to ensure best practices are utilized-Provide education/training on identifying and working with survivors of trafficking to community resources-Serve on-call until 8 PM Monday-Friday and respond to emergency calls from clients during this time -Hire, train and supervise two case managers and fill in for case managers as needed -Form, strengthen and maintain partnerships with community organizations/resources-Organize and co-facilitate monthly collaborative meetings with regional partner organizations-Increase awareness of trafficking and available resources within the Capital Region-Serve as organization’s media liaison for any human trafficking related issues

-Conduct individual counseling sessions utilizing trauma-informed therapy and provide crisis management services as necessary-Coordinate with community resources to provide patients with appropriate referrals to meet their needs-Design individualized comprehensive treatment plans based on the biopsychosocial model and review patients’ progress of goals -Complete documentation of session progress, treatment plan updates, discharge continuing care plans, and case conferences

-Graded weekly reflection for 30 students-Maintained Canvas website used for the course-Communicated with students regarding assignments and answered course related questions

-Provided support to resident assistants in programming and meeting residential needs-Developed an on-call schedule for resident assistants -Responded to building maintenance issues and worked with facilities management as necessary

-Conducted research and analysis on issues related to the organization’s mandate-Prepared policy and short background papers and drafted speeches, notes and talking points for the Victims’ Rights Advocate-Assisted in developing communication and public information materials and activities-Provided support for an expert consultation of regional and national victims’ rights advocate

-Planned and implemented individual and group goals for individuals with substance use disorders and assessed effectiveness-Conducted group therapy sessions using weekly themes relating to addiction and recovery-Connected patients with emergency resources for housing, food, and medical and mental health services

Our graduate student team worked with Jewish Family Services in Buffalo to research a potential translation app to deliver emergency messages to refugees. Our responsibilities included researching effective language translation methods, conducting focus groups with caseworkers to collect data on communication methods and refugee needs, creating a competitive analysis of existing national and international translation platforms, and generating a cost benefit analysis of service delivery.

-Designed and implemented lesson plans for ten children to meet weekly learning objectives -Encouraged and reinforced positive behavior while managing behavioral issues as necessary-Established strong understanding of each child’s learning methods and progress

-Oversaw a building of 105 first year students-Supervised a staff of 6 resident assistants and held weekly staff meetings/bi weekly individual meetings-Appropriately responded to student needs and campus emergencies in an on-call rotation-Helped develop and implement a residential learning curriculum

-Contacted agencies to increase awareness of the organization’s mission and create networking connections -Educated local organizations on how to recognize sex trafficking victims-Provided residents with emotional support and discussed continued rehabilitation options
