I serve as the principal advisor to the TSA Federal Security Director on all matters concerning regulatory enforcement and compliance with security directives, laws and regulations pertaining to transportation security at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and within its overall area of responsibility. I identify and respond to security incidents, threats, violations or potential violations, prepare plans, coordinate and manage inspection programs to ensure regulatory compliance by domestic and international regulated entities, tenants and business interests in the area of transportation security. Oversee and conduct assessments and investigations of transportation modes to determine overall security posture; monitor compliance with applicable transportation security policies, regulations, and agreements. Provide technical guidance to stakeholders on the development and/or modification of security plans to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance. Determine when enforcement action should be initiated and recommend the type of action and level of penalty. Gather, receive and disseminate transportation security intelligence. Cooperate/participate in the Joint Terrorism Task Force and/or other federal, state or local government/law enforcement or industry consortia addressing transportation security as required by agency policy. Hire, discipline, mentor and direct the work of multiple supervisory transportation security inspectors in aviation, cargo and explosive detection K-9 as well as their direct reports.
