Our Mission Statement:It is our goal and mission at Reptile Camp to provide children with the most interactive wildlife experience possible. We believe that through these up close and hands on experiences we can create a life long love and respect for all living things. Through our program we thrive to inspire a strong conservation movement through our future leaders!Program Summery:Participants will get hands on approach to learning about all kinds of animals, and therefore developing a greater understanding of the species and creating a life long link with the love of nature and animals of all kinds. We take pride in being as interactive as possible with as many diffrent species of animals as possible during each and every camp week! We try to balance out every week so we are learning about all kinds of animals, not just reptiles. We also study mammalls, birds, insects, arachnids, fish, and more! Every week is something different!This summer camp program will pick your children up in the middle of the concrete jungle we live in and overwhelm them with the natural world around them. They will study thousands of species, and learn hundreds of facts about these creatures. Little Rays Reptile Zoo is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We are a small private zoo accredited by C.A.Z.A. in the heart of the city. We have over 100 displays featuring animals from around the world. Our zoo is open every day and is known for our dynamic and educational presentations. We conduct shows every day at our facility trying to promote conservation education. 95% of the animals in our care were former pets that were either surrendered or confiscated. Our company works very closely with organizations like Environment Canada, S.P.C.A. and the O.S.P.C.A. One of our mandates is to promote and educate of responsible pet ownership. Our main focus besides running our facility and taking exceptional care of our animals is to conduct educational shows in the community. Our staff conduct thousands of shows a year at birthday parties, churches, schools, day cares, retirements homes, festivals, events, libraries and more!
