Coordinator - Educational Outreach at Bergen Community College. Bergen has launched a new initiative my co-worker Ronald McKnight and I have created called "Sugar Hill at Bergen" which has started on September 12th - December 19th 2013. We will continue to run this program each semester because of the awesome demand for it. This is for the music industry and for people who want to be in the music industry. As a recruitment effort that gained HUGE success, I launched Bergen's first ever Rip The Runway - Burlesque Edition Fashion Show for Fashion Week 2013. This has now become a yearly event called "Fashion Week at Bergen". For our young people of color, I have put together a new initiative called "The Alternative Initiative" which is a big brother program led by Platinum music producer C. Roc. This program gives young people a different perspective on life and how to conduct themselves accordingly. Ex: police stop & frisks, Money management, Ownership, etc.,, This program works because the students relate well to the big brother figure. I am also the Coordinator of the Summer Intensive program at Bergen Community College. This is a college readiness program for students who would more than likely not go to college. This bridge program that has started in July 2013 has helped students prepare for their placement Accuplacer test, help students with FAFSA, register for classes and helping students apply for other grants such as EOF. I also produced Bergen Community College's 1st Annual Music Festival August 10th 2014. We had legendary artists such as Blue Magic, Alyson Williams, Jalil & Ecstasy of Whodini, Chubb Rock, and RIFF. We also had the Waldwick School of Rock & the Bergen Performing arts. We had new artists, Sean Shotta, NBF, Symplicity & New Day. This was a huge successful outreach event.
